LOS FELIZ BOTANICALS
Perfume should be unique to you and your chemistry.
You should wear perfume, it should never wear you.
Applying perfume should be a tiny vacation from your day.
Perfume should not be forced upon those around us in elevators or offices but enjoyed by those we caress, embrace, and allow into our personal space. #stopscentpollution

What We Do
Botanical essences are more than the sum of their parts. Every aspect of the plant's life, from rainfall levels to the quality of the earth to the expertise of the distiller will affect the makeup of the essence.
Each perfume is made by hand, blending as many as 40 different essences together, drop by drop, until the perfect balance is achieved. The blend is then matured for 2 months to allow the essences to marry and mature.
Our Eaux de Parfum use a base of organic 190 proof corn alcohol. Our perfume balms are made using skin-nourishing jojoba, beeswax, and cocoa butter. Our essences are distilled from the flowers, leaves, roots, resins, woods, seeds, peels, and lichen of plants and trees from around the world.
Our essences are sourced from small farms and distillers from around the world. Some are very rare with as little as one supplier, and others ubiquitous in the market, requiring extensive sampling to find the absolute best batch.
LOS FELIZ BOTANICALS
Q: What does los feliz mean?
Los Feliz is Spanish for "the happy" but we drew the name from the Los Angeles neighbourhood that borders Griffith Park. With its streets lined with fragrant Magnolia trees and Jasmine bushes, it's a gem of a community, and the best place in LA to see hummingbirds.
Q: HOW LONG WILL MY PERFUME LAST?
Without the use of synthetic fixatives, natural perfumes have a shorter lifespan on your skin. They will typically last up to 4 hours, which is one of the reasons we made our bottle so portable. To us, applying perfume is as joyful as wearing it, and we think there's no better break from a stressful day than taking a moment to treat yourself. #tinyvacation
Q: WHY IS THE BOTTLE SO SMALL?
Most perfumes are sold in 30ml or higher. Our bottle is 15ml. Why? For one, we don't think you should have to pay over $100 for a high quality perfume. Instead of lowering our quality or using fillers, we opted for a size that will still last a long time, but that you won't need to short your rent for. Secondly, these babies are meant to see the world. Throw them in your bag, your jacket pocket, that little pocket at the top of yoga pants, wherever - take them on all your adventures.
Q: What are the benefits of a natural fragrance?
1. AESTHETICS Perfume is all about personal preference, but in our minds, there is no way a synthetic can compare to Rose Otto, which takes 60 roses to create just one drop, or Jasmine, which must be harvested at night and contains up to 50 chemical components.
2. LESS SENSITIZING Many people have allergies or sensitivities to perfumes. This is due to irritants that can be found in synthetic aroma-chemicals. Though people can still have reactions to natural essences (especially if not properly diluted) most that think they are allergic to perfume will not have any issue with natural fragrance.
3. SHORT SILLAGE We've all been stuck in an elevator with someone whose perfume or cologne is so strong the scent lingers on your clothes all day, or worse still, causes coughing, sneezing, or watery eyes. Natural perfume stays close to the skin, so that only those close to you can smell it. A well balanced perfume should lure others close to you, not repel them away.
4. COMPLEXITY Our perfumes have dynamic top, middle, and base notes that transform on your skin over time and smell different on every person. What starts off punchy and bright can become soft and powdery, or earthy and heavy. Yucca Valley is super rosy and peppery on some and leathery and almost musky on others.
Q: CAN I MIX TWO PERFUMES TOGETHER?
Totally. Layering fragrance is a great way to get a completely customized scent. Los Feliz and Red Rock are great together, just saying.
(Our perfume balms blend beautifully together and overtop our EDPs).
