Hojari Frankincense Resin with Agarwood and Rose

Hojari Frankincense Resin with Agarwood and Rose

Burning loose resin as incense is an ancient practice that involves sprinkling loose tree resin over hot coals to produce a rich aromatic smoke. Hojari Frankincense is considered to be one of the highest grades of Frankincense. This resin has been blended with two other highly prized aromatics: Agarwood (also known as Aloeswood) powder and Rose Absolute.

To use: Fill a heatproof container or loose incense holder with sand or white ash. Using charcoal tongs, hold an incense charcoal over the flame of a candle until you see a red hot glow. Place the charcoal on top of the ash. Sprinkle a tiny amount of resin on top of the charcoal and enjoy.

Warning: Incense charcoals become really hot and can easily damage surfaces if not handled properly - make sure you're always present while burning resins, and that you are using a heat proof container on a heat-resistant surface.

Second Warning: Really - just sprinkle a tiny amount of resin onto the charcoal - don't be like us setting off the smoke alarm every few weeks from being overzealous. You can use a mortar and pestle to grind the resin down further if desired.
